How can I check my housing association's complaints record?Beta*
Council and housing association tenants
Private renting in England since the Renters' Rights Act 2025, unless the question says otherwise. General information, not legal advice.
The Housing Ombudsman publishes a performance report for every landlord with five or more decided cases, showing how often it was found at fault and in which areas. It also publishes reports of severe maladministration, special investigations into individual landlords, and "wider orders" requiring a landlord to fix problems affecting many residents. Look your landlord up on the Ombudsman's landlord performance page. A poor record is useful context to quote in your own complaint.
